We are seeking sales & customer service associates available for full-time or part-time employment. Candidates must be available to work weekends and/or weekdays. Shifts are approximately 9:45am – 5:00pm or 12:00pm – 7:15pm. Customer service experience is a plus. Experience in skiing, snowboarding, cycling, paddling, hiking, climbing, or running is also a plus.

We are also seeking applicants for our paddle shop (raft, canoe, and kayak) opening in mid-April as well as bike sales floor help for summer. The paddle shop remains open until September, but employment may be continued in other departments if desired. 

Essential Job Functions
· Create a positive experience for every customer that walks in the door
· Guide customers to appropriate gear and clothing selections that meet their needs
· Operate store point of sale computer
· Ensure a clean and well-organized work area
· Handle warranty and returns according to the Beaver Sports policy
· Be available to work a consistent schedule
· Attend regular clinics, meetings and training outside of store hours (paid time)
· Stand/walk for extended periods of time
· Perform store maintenance items:  sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean
· Ensure that every item within our walls is represented in a way that conveys pricing and description information
· Take responsibility for merchandise that is delivered by unloading and moving heavy boxes

Qualified applicant should have ski/snowboard technician experience.  Previous retail sales and customer service experience encouraged.
Must be able to work at least 30 hours per week.  Knowledgeable of snow-sport activities including snowboarding and skiing.

The job runs September through April, but there are other employment opportunities in the store if full-time or year-round work is desired.


  • Communicates and cooperates with staff and management team.
  • Ski and snowboard repair including applying P-Tex on gouges and scratches, base patches, beveling, edge replacements and de-laminations.
  • Daily use and maintenance of ski tuning machinery including Wintersteiger stonegrinder.
  • Mount and/or repair vast variety of ski and snowboard bindings without instruction or supervision.
  • Pole and boot repair.
  • Waxing of skis and snowboards.
  • Maintain clean and organized area.
  • Fill out proper documentation for receiving, servicing and returning customer products.
  • Contribute to the department by maintaining a working knowledge of products and services while using this knowledge to sell products and services to our clients.
